The aim of the brief was to take a place of personal interest and through the use of both type and image, give the audience a feel of the experience you had whilst you were there.
I chose a place called Pitcher & Piano which is a bar located in Nottingham Lace Market. It is well known for its selection of cocktails, but the most distinctive feature of the bar is that it's located in a renovated church.
The idea I created was a 'Cocktail Bible' for Pitcher & Piano; using patterns from the interior and exterior, it allowed me to create the design for the front and back covers.
The golden pattern on the book cover was created using Omnicrom and the paper stock used inside was newsprint which gave it the feel of Biblical paper.
